Taipick is an independent technology publication focused on side-by-side product comparisons. We benchmark, compare, and explain consumer electronics — SSDs, laptops, monitors, peripherals, and accessories — so shoppers can make informed decisions in minutes, not hours.
Our Mission
The internet is full of single-product reviews. We do something different: we put similar products next to each other, run them through the same tests, and tell you which one wins on each dimension that matters — speed, endurance, value, thermal performance, and real-world usability.
How We Test
Every comparison on Taipick follows the same structure:
- Spec audit — we verify manufacturer claims against official datasheets and third-party benchmarks.
- Hands-on testing — where possible, we run the products ourselves using standardized workloads (CrystalDiskMark for SSDs, Cinebench for CPUs, and so on).
- Real-world context — synthetic numbers alone are misleading. We translate them into what a typical user will actually feel (boot time, file transfer time, render time).
- Value calculation — a product is only as good as its current street price. We factor in warranty, endurance, and resale value, not just raw performance.
Editorial Independence
Taipick participates in the Amazon Associates program and may earn commissions on qualifying purchases made through our affiliate links. This never influences our rankings or recommendations. We pick winners based on test data and use-case fit, not on commission rates. If a product we recommend is not sold on Amazon, we still recommend it.
Who We Are
Taipick is run by a small team of technology enthusiasts with backgrounds in IT operations, hardware benchmarking, and consumer advocacy. We started the site because we were tired of comparison articles that read like ad copy.
